All pupils learn in mixed-ability classes, with English as the main language of instruction.
Our academic programme is anchored in the prestigious Cambridge Curriculum, complemented by elements of the UK National Curriculum. With small class sizes, personalised learning, and high-quality teaching, students at GSIS make exceptional progress. Our commitment to academic excellence, combined with a joyful and values-driven Christian environment, ensures that every child is supported to flourish both in character and in intellect.
GSIS is proud to be known for its strong academic standards and holistic approach — preparing confident, capable, and globally minded learners equipped for success in school and beyond.
Early Years
At GSIS, our Early Years Programme includes Crèche (from 9 months), Pre-School, and Reception, providing a warm and secure start to every child’s learning journey.
Our curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework, which supports key developmental milestones from birth to age five. Children learn through purposeful play, exploration, and hands-on activities that build confidence, creativity, and early academic skills.
As they progress, learning becomes more structured to ensure a smooth transition into Key Stage 1 and the full Cambridge curriculum. Our Early Years environment is nurturing, child-centred, and designed to help every learner feel valued, supported, and ready to thrive.
Primary
At GSIS, our Primary Stage includes Years 1 to 6, providing a strong academic foundation built on excellence, curiosity, and character development.
Our curriculum is aligned with the Cambridge Curriculum and enhanced with Cambridge learning standards. Core subjects — English, Mathematics, and Science — form the heart of the programme, ensuring solid literacy, numeracy, and scientific understanding.
To deliver a broad and balanced education, pupils also study French, Computing, History, Geography, Art, Music, Religious Education, and Physical Education. These foundation subjects enrich learning, encourage creativity, and help children develop problem-solving skills, global awareness, and personal talents.
The GSIS Primary experience is designed to nurture confident learners who are well prepared for the transition into lower secondary school.
Lower Secondary
At GSIS, our Lower Secondary stage covers Years 7, 8, and 9, providing a strong bridge between Primary and the full Cambridge IGCSE pathway.
Our programme follows the Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum, offering a broad range of subjects including English (Language & Literature), Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, Geography, French, Computing, Art, Music, Religious Education, and Physical Education. This balanced curriculum strengthens academic skills, deepens subject knowledge, and encourages critical thinking and independence.
We are committed to nurturing each learner as a confident individual and responsible member of society. Our students consistently earn places in highly selective schools, reflecting the strength of our academic standards and our holistic approach to learning.
Co-Curricular Programmes
At GSIS, learning extends beyond the classroom. Alongside the Cambridge academic programme, students participate in a wide range of co-curricular activities designed to build leadership, teamwork, confidence, and creativity. From sports and music to drama and community service, these experiences allow learners to discover their talents, develop new skills, and apply their knowledge in meaningful, real-world contexts.
